1. All of life is an act of letting go, but what hurts the most is not taking a moment to say goodbye.
人生就是不斷地放下，然而最讓人痛心的是，沒來得及說再見。
2. Then Richard Parker, companion of my torment, awful, fierce thing that kept me alive, moved forward and disappeared forever from my life.
然後，那個讓我生存下來的理查派克，那個讓我痛苦、害怕的兇狠的夥伴，就這麼向前走沒有回頭，永遠消失在我的生命裡。

1. let go 鬆開、放下
這是一個很道地的口語，放下、鬆開，可以是具體的把東西放下，也可以是抽象的把心裡的一件事放下。如果後面有名詞，加of再接受詞。像Let go of me. (放開我)
Let go也可以用來指將某人遣
散。例如：I have to let you go. 我得讓你走，意思是，我不能繼續僱用你了。
2. go with 相信、協調、選擇
go with我們最熟的意思是一起走，它可以進一步延伸為明白、相信或協調。有人問你："Do you go with me?" 不一定是指你要不要一起走，而是「你明白我的意思嗎？」
