The time-travel element brings together the casts of both the first three "X-Men" movies — including Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, Patrick Stewart as professor Charles Xavier and Ian McKellen as Magneto — and "X-Men: First Class," which featured James McAvoy as a younger Xavier, Michael Fassbender as a younger Magneto and "The Hunger Games" star Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique.

During this action-packed film, audiences will witness two epic battles for survival — the first showing the last few X-Men in a hopeless struggle against Sentinels in the future, and the second showing the whole team working together in the past to prevent that future from happening.

Although "X-Men: Days of Future Past" features a huge cast of characters, including multiple actors playing the same role, this film centers around the younger version of Professor X. And perhaps the part of the film that fans are most looking forward to is the scene where McAvoy's young Charles Xavier meets his future self, played by Stewart.
