越來越多人購物後直接用手機完成付款，這種操作方式便稱作行動支付（mobile payment）。手機的英文為mobile phone，payment的意思為「付款」，動詞則為pay。其他與行動支付相關的詞語還有mobile wallet（行動錢包∕手機錢包）；QR code（QR 條碼）。
