blind spot（盲點）本指視野死角，開車時無法直接看到、靠後視鏡（rearview mirror）也看不到的地方就稱為blind spot，如：Watch out for cars in your blind spot when you change lanes.（轉換車道時要注意視野死角的來車。）blind spot也可用來指某人不擅長、不了解或忽略的地方。而網路上流行的「你突破盲點∕盲腸了。」指的就是弄懂某件事或找出關鍵。
