「春聯」的英文說法是 spring couplet

couplet [ˋkʌplɪt] 指的是兩句一組的對句或對詩

不過不太熟悉中國文化或習俗的老外也許會仍不知道它是幹嘛用的

這時候也可以叫它 Chinese New Year couplet

我們來造些句：

My grandfather wrote a few spring couplets for Chinese New Year.
(我的祖父為新年的到來寫了幾副春聯。)

The famous calligrapher gave away some of the spring couplets he wrote.
(這位知名書法家將他寫的一些春聯送給別人。)

We got some Chinese New Year couplets from the mayor’s office.
(我們拿到一些市長辦公室發放的春聯。)

It is a Chinese New Year custom to stick couplets written on red paper on the sides of doors.
(將寫在紅紙上的對聯貼在門的兩側是中國春節習俗。)
