1.所有的黑人都是從非洲來？

第一個是很多台灣人都以為所有的黑人都是從非洲來的
First, many Taiwanese think all black people are from Africa.

其實我們都是從不一樣的地方、不一樣的文化來的
In fact, we all come from different places and different cultures.

有的是從非洲來的、有的是從加勒比海來的
Some are from Africa, some are from Caribbean.

有的是從美國來的，有的是從拉丁美洲來的
Some are from the States, some are from Latin America.

2.怎麼洗頭？

第二個是我們的頭髮
Second, our hair.

我的頭髮當然捲捲的，所以很多台灣人都想摸我的頭髮
My hair is curly, so many Taiwanese are trying to touch it.

但是很多台灣人不會先問我可不可以摸
Many of them never ask for my permission.

就直接摸我頭髮，所以我覺得不禮貌
I think it’s very rude if you start touching my hair without asking.

很多台灣人問我怎麼洗我的頭髮
Many Taiwanese ask me how I wash my hair.

其實跟別人差不多一樣
It’s just like everybody else.

我也會用洗髮精和護髮乳
I will use shampoo and conditioner.

最大的不同是我會把我的頭髮分成四部份
The biggest difference is I wash my hair in four parts.

第三個是音樂，好多台灣人都以為黑人都很愛、很注意「嘻哈」這個音樂
The third one is music, many Taiwanese think we only care about Hip Hop.

其實黑人有創造或影響很多種音樂
Black people actually have created and affected many kinds of music.

比如說「強烈節奏藍調」、「黑人靈歌」、「放克」、「雷鬼」、「跳舞音樂」、「福音音樂」、「搖滾樂」...
For example, “R n B rhythm and blues”, “dance hall”, “soul”, “fink”, “reggage”, “dance hall”, “gospel”, “rock and roll”...

如果你去一個黑人家的話
If you go to a black person’s house.

你大概不會聽到嘻哈，你可能聽到很多種音樂
You probably won’t just hear Hip Hop music, but much more.

當然你不會聽到小賈斯汀
Definitely no Justin Bieber.

很多台灣人都會跟我說：「喔你是黑人！所以你一定要唱得很好」
Many Taiwanese assume I sing well since I’m black.

4.吃什麼？

最後是很多台灣人不知道黑人喜歡什麼「菜」
Last, many Taiwanese don’t know about our tastes.

不是喜歡誰的那種菜，是菜
In this case, I’m talking about “food”.

美國黑人的菜是「靈魂食物」
Our favorite food is “soul food”.

這個靈魂食物包括甘藍菜、甜薯泥、通心麵、豬腸、玉米麵包、熱乎麵包和牛尾巴
Our soul food has collard greens, candied yams, macaroni, chitlins, corn bread, hot water bread, ox tail.

這些不健康！但是超好吃
Soul food is not healthy but tasty.
