On the afternoon of Jan. 3 in Wanlitung on the Hengchun peninsula, a local woman surnamed Hung spotted, around 1km off the coast, four columns of water spraying up in succession from the surface of the sea. She initially thought it was dolphins, but at no point did she see them jumping up out of the water, and apparently dolphins cannot spray water three meters into the air. She quickly picked up her handset and took some photos, and many residents rushed out to the coast to witness the wonderful sight.
