1. They don’t waste time feeling sorry for themselves. 不浪費時間對自己感到抱歉或遺憾。
→ Take responsibility for your role in life and understand that life isn’t always easy or fair. 對自己生活裡扮演的角色負起責任,人生並非都一帆風順。
2. They don’t shy away from change. 不怯於改變。
3. They don’t waste energy on things they can’t control. 不把精力浪費在無法控制的事物上。
→ The only thing you can control is your attitude! 你唯一可以控制的是自己態度!
4. They don’t give away their power. 不隨意給人(控制自己的)權力。
→ They don’t allow others to control them. For example, they don’t say things like, “My boss makes me feel bad,” because they understand they’re in control of their emotions. 不讓他人有辦法控制自己。舉例來說,別這樣說話:「我老闆讓我覺得很糟!」因為自己的情緒該自己控制。
5. They don’t worry about pleasing everyone. 不擔憂如何去討好每個人。
→ Speak up or say no when necessary. 必要時得直言或直接說不。
6. They don’t fear taking calculated risks. 不害怕(承擔)計算過輕重的冒險。
7. They don’t dwell on the past. 不耽溺過往。
→ They acknowledge their past, live for the present and plan for the future. 心智強大的人會承認過往,把握當下,計劃未來。
8. They don’t make the mistakes over and over. 不重複犯同樣的錯。
9. They don’t resent other people’s success. 對他人的成功不眼紅。
→ Mentally healthy people can appreciate and celebrate others’ success. 心智健康的人能夠欣賞並慶祝他人的成功。
10. They don’t give up after the first failure. 不會一次失敗就放棄。
11. They don’t fear being alone. 不怕獨處。
→ They aren’t afraid to be alone with their thoughts, and they can use this downtime to be productive. 別害怕面對獨處時的思緒,利用這樣的休整期讓自己重新整頓、再有作為。
12. They don’t feel the world owes them anything. 不要覺得全世界都欠你。
13. They don’t expect immediate results. 不求立即的回報。
