外國人覺得台灣人最常錯的英文是什麼？我們請外籍顧問提出他們的觀察，你可能會在這裡面看到似曾相似的錯誤；有些錯誤像過去式，明明知道要變化動詞，但腦子想到了，嘴巴未必做到。有些錯誤是連想也沒想到，有人告訴你才會發現自己錯了。
1.過去式
（X） I"eat"and"slept"well last night.
（O） I ate and slept well last night.
外國人心想：「我覺得會搞不清楚時間計劃。」
中文腦：動詞沒有時態
英文腦：直接以時態表示事情發生了、將要發生
像這句話就會讓人混淆：
（X）I go to the event on Sunday.（我上周日去參加這個活動。）
外國人心想：「是上周日去參加活動，還是這周日要去，還是每周日都參加？」正確說法是"I went to the event on Sunday."
2.介係詞
「一月底」英文怎麼說？
（X）In the end of January.
（O）At the end of January.
中文腦：「（在）一月底」
英文腦：At表示特定的時間點，想像時間是一條線，at就是線上的某個時間點，強調事情發生的那一刻；In表示特定較長的時間，如月份、年份、季節、時代、世紀，或一段時間。
3.選字錯誤
（X）That building is higher
（O）The building is taller.
中文腦：長得高、飛得很高
英文腦：High形容位置高；Tall形容直立的高度。
（X）How do you think？
（O）What do you think？
中文腦：你怎麼想（這件事）？
英文腦：你的想法是（什麼）？想法是what，不是how
注意：超多人把"do my homework"說成"write my homework"
4. 錯誤的句子結構原因常是直接把整句中文翻成英文
（X）Many words I don't understand.
（X）There have many words I don't understand.
（O）There are many words I don't understand.
中文腦：很多字我都不懂、有很多字我不懂。
英文腦：事物存在用there is、there are
（X）I like.
（O）I like it.
中文腦：我喜歡。
英文腦：我喜歡這個。
（X） I don't should go to the party.
（O） I shouldn’t go to the party.
中文腦：我不應該去那個派對。
英文腦：don't、shouldn't不會同時出現。
也常常聽到人家這樣講：
（X） I don't know where is he.
（O） I don't know where he is.
5.冠詞和單複數
（X） We need to have meeting.
（O） We need to have a meeting.
中文腦：我們需要開會。
英文腦：一般的名詞前一定會有冠詞a/an, the
6.搞不清楚長得像的片語動詞
break up、break out、break into
even、even if、even though
7.搞不清楚詞性
我會更有彈性地工作。
（X）I'd work more flexible.
（O）I'd work more flexibly.

（X）Please response.
（O）Please respond.
8.沒想到這樣講不禮貌／不對
我想要取消會議。
（X）I want to cancel the meeting.
（O）I would like to cancel the meeting.
（X）Mr. Chen, may I introduce you to our CEO, Ms. Huang？（陳先生，我可以介紹我們的CEO黃女士給您嗎？）（太謙卑）
（O）Mr. Chen, I’d like to introduce to you our CEO, Ms. Huang.（陳先生，介紹我們的CEO黃女士給您。）（不卑不亢）
9. 發音
注意：有些第一音節重音的字，台灣人會習慣把重音放到第二音節。
（X） mainTENance 維持
（O） MAINtenance
L VS. R
Apple VS. Ape
有的人英文基礎很好，但發音讓人以為他英文差，講英文的人可能就會忽略他。
10. 用複雜句子講簡單事情
How to wear the clothes in season.當季流行的穿著
→Catching up with fashion.
還有一些以訛傳訛的用法
老外說，台灣人愛在email署名前用"kindly regards"真的沒有這個用法，下次寫email請不要再用了。
The use of "kindly"in emails."kindly regards"doesn't make any sense and should never be used.
