中元節（Ghost Festival）燒紙錢給好兄弟是亞洲特有的習俗，因此紙錢沒有對應的英文說法。

依照意思來看，ghost money 會是最接近的說法，也可以說 spirit money 或 joss paper。spirit 是「靈魂、幽靈」之意，joss 是「神明」，源自於葡萄牙語的 deus（英文god之意）。

你家在中元節會燒紙錢嗎？

Lots of people burn spirit money on Tomb Sweeping Day.
清明節許多人會焚燒紙錢。
