應景指的就是在特殊節日或場合做該做的事情，如在萬聖節扮成恐怖角色就是應景，因此英文表達就是 (do sth.) for the occasion，occasion 指特殊節日或場合，可換成該節日或場合名稱，如 Halloween、Christmas、Chinese New Year。

例句：
Every year, we sing Christmas carols for the occasion.
每年聖誕節我們都會唱聖誕歌曲應景。

If you're coming to the ball, don't forget to wear a costume for the occasion.
如果你來舞會的話，別忘了變裝應景一下。
