別以為 straight shooter 指的是一個槍法很準的人哦

它其實是指一個說話很坦誠直接的人

straight 這個字一般除了「直的」這個意思以外

也有「直接的」的意思，甚至還有「異性戀的」之意 (相對於 gay )

要別人對你說實話，可以說：Give it to me straight.

要問別人是同性戀或異性戀者就是：Are you gay or straight?

(不過不要隨便亂問，否則很失禮)

我們用 straight shooter來造幾個句：

I’m a straight shooter myself, so don’t worry about offending me. 
(我自己本身也是講話坦率直接的人，所以別擔心會說錯話得罪我。)

My uncle Ned has always been a straight shooter. 
(我叔叔奈德一直是個講話坦率直接的人。)

Being a straight shooter sometimes gets him into trouble at work.
(講話坦率直接有時在職場上使他惹上麻煩。)
