Mobile Carts with Books
To help students in rural areas to read, National Pingtung University of Education and Cloud and Water Mobile Cart have cooperated on a plan, allowing children to borrow books home.
Books are particularly needed in the elementary schools in rural areas, especially sketchbooks, which are children’s stepping stones to successful reading.
The students only need to take the books they want to read and ask the staff to check out for them. Next time when the mobile cart comes, the school will remind the students to return the books.
They provide the 40 schools lacking in books with 350 books each, and the books are categorized according to the school year and are rotated regularly between the schools.
