spoiled 是「被寵壞的」，spoiled boss 就是指被寵壞、慣壞的老闆。慣老闆一詞的由來，是因為有企業主批評時下年輕人是慣寶寶、無法勝任工作，引發網友自創名詞，反諷這些只會剝削勞工的老闆。
