I’m a Russian who’s afraid of cold.
我來台灣大概四個月了，我在政大學中文
I’ve been to Taiwan for almost four months. I’m learning Chinese at NCCU.

「大街上可以看到老人運動...很幸福！」
去年我從大陸回國（俄羅斯）
I went back to Russian from China last year.
我們的大學教授問我要不要再去中國留學一次
My professor asked if I wanted to go back to China to study again.
那時候就想說
So I was thinking.
我將來如果要當個優秀的翻譯家
If I would like to become a remarkable translator.
應該要學好不同的文化和同一種語言的差別
I’d have to experience both cultures and understand the differences between simplified and traditional Chinese characters.
所以我一定要試試看台灣
Therefore, I have to go to Taiwan.
我覺得俄羅斯跟台灣有一個很大的差別
There’s a big difference between Russia and Taiwan.
是早上在大街上可以看到很多老人家在運動
I can see many elderly people exercising in the morning.
我覺得很幸福，也很難能可貴
It’s not only blissful but also very rare and commendable.
因為在俄羅斯剛好相反
Because it’s opposite in Russia.
我看過很多老人家，年紀大了都不出門活動
I’ve seen many old Russian people who don’t like to go out.
大部份的人看起來比較冷漠
Most Russians look cold and detached.
所以我很好奇台灣為什麼有這樣子的條件，但是我們沒有
That’s why I’m curious what brings joy to these Taiwanese people and how come it’s not the same in Russia.

My favorite Asian guy is Laozi.
一個月之前我第一次接觸到道德經
About a month ago, I was first introduced to Tao Te Ching.
裡面的內容真是讓我大開眼界
This book has definitely widened my horizon.
沒想到裡面的道理跟我追求的人生態度非常一致
That our perspectives about the goal of spiritual practice for the human being are quite similar to one each other.
世界上竟然有這麼了解我的男人
I can’t believe that there’s a man who would understand me like that.
如果有機會的話
If there was ever a chance.
我真想回到春秋時代跟老子談一場轟轟烈烈的戀愛
I wish I could go back to The Spring and Autumn period and have an epic relationship with Laozi.
將來我希望用自己的力量，把老子的著作翻譯成更好的俄文
In the future, I hope I can translate Laozi’s writings into better Russian.
讓俄羅斯人也能體會「無為而無不為」的境界
So more Russian can experience Laozi’s The goal of spiritual practice for the human being is the attainment of this purely natural way of behaving, as when the planets revolve around the sun. The planets effortlessly do this revolving without any sort of control, force or attempt to revolve themselves, instead engaging in effortless and spontaneous movement.
